Thanks so much is not the right thing to say, but I am grateful to hear of John's devastating loss in that I can pray for him and his family and maybe slide him a few bucks when I am back home after time in the hospital for jaw surgery. Keep doing your thing, Todd, you are appreciated.
This is such a nightmare for so many. I am so sorry to hear how it has affected John and his family. Of course it is fortunate that they are safe, but my heart goes out to them and everyone who has to deal with this reality. Losing a lifetime of personal belongings is unimaginable.
We dealt with the hurricane and floods here in Asheville and I am afraid this is the world we live in. We must find a way to unite as we deal with these kind of events. So many challenges ahead.
Such a terrible and tragic thing. And of course these “things” are happening more often to more people than ever. I often wish I had more resources to help more people like John in such need
Yes, Paul. Any amount of support is appreciated and better than none. One can also "spread" impact by donating to The American Red Cross...a reliable source that will get the needed items directly to those who are in need.
I wish I had a spigot of money to turn on to help. How $&@)ing horrible.
This is perhaps too soon and off topic, but I find it fascinating how our pea-sized brains work when something like this happens. How this tragedy connects me more because a jazz musician’s house was destroyed, and because I know his music, it’s somehow more impactful. We can’t seem to see the forest OR the trees much when it comes to climate change, but proximity is definitely what wakes people up (more so) to this very real (if ‘abstract’ to some) reality.

John is a national treasure. Love his music and spirit. Such a tragedy
Agreed on all points.

Thank you, Steve. I couldn't agree more.
